subscription for Apple Music
I am not able to change my subscription from a student to an individual(9.99). I am only given two options, the student or family plan.

Go to your subscriptions page, select Apple Music. You should see all options there, and change the checkmark to any of the options. View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support
If you have a student subscription, and after some time you are no longer eligible/failed the student verification, as determined by UNiDAYS, then that will be automatically transferred to an Individual subscription, without any action on your part.
