restoring my iPhone

my phone is stuck on the apple logo after connecting to iTunes and restoring the phone.

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 12

Make sure you followed these steps to restore your iPhone, Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
