What monitor is compatible with an A1186

I recently purchased my first apple computer. It’s an A1186 serial number G8****UPZ.

The graphics card is a ATI Radeon P/N 7127024100G. I’m trying to figure out what kind of monitor is compatible with it. I bought an adapter plug to go from the funky Apple plug to a HDMI and tried it in a TV but had no luck.

A1186 in Mac Pro silver tower 2006, 2007 or 2008. Other information says it is a Mac Pro 1,1 2006 model, 2 x 2.66GHz.The graphics card was configure-to-order, but likely the optional Radeon X1900XT Dual Dual-Link DVI with 512GB VRAM.

There are no "funky Apple plugs" on any of those cards. The bigger connectors are industry standard DVI-I, the really small ones (on later graphics cards) are Mini DisplayPort.

DVI-I should convert to HDMI without issue, provided you do the conversion in ONE adapter, and the adapter passes the secondary data channel (also called EDID data) the Mac requires.
