Can't Manually Install iTunes in MoJave

I had to uninstall iTunes manually because NONE of my purchased or rented videos would play back properly. I would get green, glitchy screens during playback. After trying everything I could find, there were no solutions. So I manually uninstalled iTunes (which was an absolute pain). Now I'm seeing that I can't reinstall it without having to completely reinstall the OS? Is this true? This must be some kind of joke!

Does anyone have a work-around for this? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

“Is this true?” Yes.

Since MacOS Mojave was released, iTunes has been embedded in the MacOS.

You did not to extract it as you did. But you now do need to re-install MacOS.

I may just leave iTunes uninstalled. I've always found the program infuriating, difficult to use, and just flat-out clunky. If Apple wants to make it this difficult, then it's another reason to never rent or purchase anything from the iTunes store, I'll take my business elsewhere!

Then you’ll be using a crippled, amputated MacOS Mojave. You may find issues doing that.
