iTunes not finding my iPhone and iPad when plugged in to iTunes

Every time I plug in any iPhone or iPad to iTunes on my MacBook Pro (using Mojave version 10.14.3) I get the following pop-up boxes:

I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing works. It won't install and nothing works even if I hit the "Not Now" button.

My computer specs are:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 16 GB

PLEASE HELP!

Reboot your router, computer and device.

In Finder use the menu item Go > Go to Folder..., copy the following text, paste it into the dialog box and press enter:

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileDevice.framework/Versions/Current/Resources

Unlock your device and connect it to USB. Double click on MobileDeviceUpdater in the folder that has opened. It should notify you of a software update. Install it and iTunes should hopefully recognize your device.
