Hi! I tried ipad screen recording function and the resulting video had a frame rate of 6,117 fps in one instance and 9,128 fps in the second take. Is there a way to record the screen with a higher frame rate without connecting the ipad to mac and using quicktime to record? And is there a way to control the frame that it records with?

Wow. Are you sure of your frame rates? Even iPad Pro models, with ProMotion support, can only achieve screen refresh rates of 120 fps!
+6000 to 9000 frames per second is pretty high - worthy of hi-end/professional slow motion photography rigs.
Sorry, you are probably in USA and you use decimal point, not coma. It is 6.117 and 9.128 (so 6 and 9 frames per second). Thanks for noticing this, I'l try to edit the post to simplify things a bit.
