Sound Card Fried?!?!?!

Went to play some music out of iTunes the other day and it wouldn't do anything. Went to adjust my volume and the grey window with the speaker icon was greyed out with a slash through it.

Went to my sound settings, no output devices available.

Followed up with system report, Audio Devices, nothing....

Looked in the Midi setup, nothing.

Is my actual hardware fried?

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

Welcome!

Is my actual hardware fried?

Could be, but let's try an SMC reset first:

Beyond that, we may have more ideas if we know which MBP sub-model you have. MBPs have been in continuous production for 13 years and there are easily over 100 sub-models, and history has shown we are terrible at guessing!

Please do "About this Mac..." from your Apple menu to get something like this:

Depending on the computer's age, the screen size may also be useful to know so, if it is not included in the "sub-model" slot, please add it.

I hope it is not the "sound card" because MBP's don't have separate cards. If the audio hardware fails you have to replace the entire logic board because everything is soldered to and integral with the LB.
