How do I stop my cursor from clicking automatically when it is resting on a link?

I have a MacBook Air. The cursor will click automatically when it is resting on a link of any sort. How do I prevent this? I am not able to find anything in Preferences to account for this cursor behavior. Yes I can move the cursor away from links but I shouldn't have to remember to do that. Thank you.
