Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Changed from an Android phone to the Xs and a bit dissapointed that I can't seem to change the volume of the ringer and notifications separately. Apple support got a workaround for the alarm volume which I think works ok. I would like notifications on low vol and the ringer on high as I work in a noisy environment.

Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Make sure that "Change with Buttons" is on. Then, when a call or notification comes in, use the side volume buttons to adjust the sound.

Can't get that to work either 🤔 seems the ringer and notifications are joined at the hip. I've settled for vibration only for notifications, guess I'll have to wait for a fix sometime from Apple.

Thanks, this is the fix for the alarm but how do I set it for a notification when the sound is so short?

Try to send text messages to yourself and adjust it then :-)
