Make a voice memo your alarm on iPhone

Kinda surprised I can’t access my voice memos in the alarms app’s sound selection on the iPhone XS

I am already aware of that solution. That solution is not helpful. This is a 7 step process that requires you to plug your iPhone into your computer. How silly!

I wanted to set a morning alarm where my voice recording gives me an inspiration quote and agenda forecast of the day. Something close to what Siri should do one day and less boring than an alarm sound or song. This seven step process makes something like this more time consuming than productive. I mean it’s a freaking iPhone XS and it can’t simply play a recording at a set time without plugging it into a computer and spending thirty minutes setting it up?! Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave.

Hi Kaigull,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

At this time Voice Memos are not included in the options for tones for the Clock app on your iPhone. However, if you wish, you can use Garageband to turn your audio file into a ringtone.

Use tones and ringtones with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Create a ringtone from your Logic Pro X or GarageBand for macOS project

Enjoy your day!
