How do I recover my @iclud.com email password

I need to update my @icloud.com email password in Outlook on my pc. I cannot get the passowrd recovered, which is where I am sitting at the moment. I have been able to get the email settings sorted on my iPad by means of creating an app-specific password, but this does not work in Outlook on my PC... I find it funny though, because the same settings is working on my iPad which is using Outlook as an email client??
