Any way to use a Mac without iCloud ?

Is anyone using MacOS free of the buggy prison called iCloud ? Seriously, not a day goes by that I have to waste my time with this abomination of a "feature" between the constant need to authenticate every time I log in on a new network to the nag messages from features I never use like FaceTime - I've f'n had it. I've used Macs most of my career but I am honestly getting to the point I may have to look into something else if I cannot get around this idiotic software.

Apple's motto use to be "It just works" , now its "nothing works" . Tired of it.

Anyone have a suggestion on how I can root my Mac and DELETE it ? I use none of the native features. Disabling it is not an option but there has to be a file system solution ?

Thanks !

Sir, I was just ribbing you regarding your "child like" remark. And, yes, I do know what is out there. Like you and others here, I am a longtime Macintosh computer user -- 29 years in fact. As I mentioned to you earlier, we each have our personal preferences regarding hardware and software. It just seems a bit comical to some of us here that you dis the macOS so much, and tell us why you hate it and want to change it, and point us to other non-Apple products, and then you turn around and tell us that you use Macs and the macOS because it "is more stable, more robust, better displays and runs Adobe software better than anything else." You certainly seem to have a love/hate relationship with your Macs. :)

I used to despise Google but since working for them for the past year
I've lightened up about the security of my info and integrity of their
storage

I see.

I do not use anything Google. Why? Because I do not agree with their corporate/business policies. I do not do business with anyone making money solely based on advertising and exploiting unsuspecting and uninformed users' information (I do not use Facebook either). I may possibly consider it if it were to be offered as a paid service without revealing any information about any user.

Some of their terms:

(you might want to suggest to your employer that not everyone reading those terms is a child; I am quite capable of reading legalese without all the cute child-like pictograms).

I think any politician would be quite elated with a 90% approval rating. :)

You are "more or less an Mac evangelist"? Well, let me respond to your comment this way: If I were a newcomer to these forums, and also a potential Macintosh purchaser, if I were to read all of your previous comments, I would really have second thoughts about buying a Mac. You do more to shoot down Apple and Macs, and to raise up Google and Google products. As Jesus taught, a tree is known by its fruits.

I see no need for you to apologize to anyone here. I really don't think that anyone has taken offense to any of your comments. Personally, I don't. I just find them a bit entertaining/amusing because you are like a guy who loves and hates his wife at the same time. :)
