Hi, I have just bought a Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter from the Apple Store. I also have a 9 pin to 800 connector. I need this to work on my late 2013 MacBook Pro, but it doesn't show anything on my home screen.
I have gone in to System Information and it shows there that the Thunderbolt to Firewire is connected.
Can you please me with why it won't work.
I have restarted my Mac, but to no avail.

I am sorry the heading is misleading. The photo I have put up on the thread is what I have, it's to connect my firewire device, a JVC MiniDvD Camcorder to my MacBook Pro 2013 Laptop.
I have connected it to my MacBook, but it doesn't work or recognise it....

That adapter is for connecting a FireWire device to a computer's Thunderbolt port. It cannot be used to connect a Thunderbolt device or display to a computer's FireWire port.
