The LCD is physically damaged. Most likely from excessive pressure on the screen.
Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty. You will have to pay for out of warranty repair/replacement.
The LCD is physically damaged. That's why there is a big black spot there. The cells of the display have ruptured due to excessive pressure. It could also be caused by extreme cold.
