iPhone 6s plus activation

I have purchased a second-hand iPhone 6s plus in a car boot market but the Activation is Locked as the phone is linked to previous owner's Apple ID. I cannot find the previous owner; I’m desperate, can you please help?

Find My iPhone Activation Lock - This is a security feature, presumably in part to deter re-selling of stolen devices.

Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock (formerly: Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account) - An activation lock can only be removed using the log-in information for the account that applied the lock.

Get the owner of the account to remove the lock or return the device for a refund. It is otherwise useless to you.

If the owner has not provided contact information as a message showing in the login screen, there is no way to contact the owner unless the person who gave you the device knows them.

Hi Limnos,

After checking my device i realized it has not been reported as stolen or lost. However, its Network Sim is Locked (saying Activation Policy Applied ); Network GSMA is Clean; and iCloud Status is also Clean. Do you have any idea about this information? I thank you in advance for your help (my email is *****).

Regards
