I have seen information on cleaning the leather and rubber bands, but nothing about the sport loop which is, of course, fabric. If it gets sweat soaked or otherwise dirty, simply wiping it off won't work.
Is it safe to put in a washing machine? Any other tips for cleaning it?

I find that using an "OLD" toothbrush with a bit of shampoo or dish detergent works very well on mine. I remove the band first from the watch when cleaning it and after cleaning Air Dry on a towel. Make sure to rinse well with warm water.
