I just bought new iPhone XR and noticed that when I upload photos from "Camera Roll" as story in Instagram there is free space above and below the photo. Is there a way to fix this problem ?

Because Instagram is using another ratio for its Stories post.
Instagram is using 9:16, iPhone shoots in 4:3.
Actually, you cant change the photo ratio in an iPhone. All 3rd party cameras that allow that are basically cropping an image what you can do yourself from the editing in Photos app.

Nope. All iPhones shoot in 4:3 aspect ratio and it has always been like this.
Sometimes, when you try to post a photo to a story it automatically zooms it in, sometimes it doesn't.
Just zoom it in.
No, I dont want to zoom it, because the details in the left/right side of the pic will be invisible. Why is that happening ?
Is that only on XR, because I have 7Plus too and it doesnt have the same problem ?
