On suggestion from Apple support I ungraded and downloaded High Sierra. After doing that when I'm in Safari my menu bar disappears. How do I keep my menu bar open all the time?

If you're using Safari in full screen mode, your menubar will disappear. To reveal it, drive your cursor to the top of the screen. Or Exit full screen mode.
