I am trying to do updates on a new iMac; I get a message "Update Unavailable with this Apple ID. This update is no available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.14
In the Mac App Store, click on your profile photo, find the list of purchases, and accept the bundled applications into your Apple ID.
