LCD screen repair?

I have a Macbook pro retina 32-

The lcd screen seems to be somewhat tarnished due to water or some liquid residue (consequences of lending it out -_-)

I tried cleaning it several times but it just got worse so it's all tainted and scratchy looking. It's not noticed when the mac is on but if the display is off it's a whole mess.

Any suggestions on how this issue can be fixed or do I have to get a whole new screen?

Getting it fixed is a new screen.
