iPhone 4 won't stop vibrating

Yep - exactly the same with mine. The phone is red hot too.......

My wife's iPhone 4 just had the same problem. The screen went black (i.e. off) with the phone vibrating continuously. It would not respond to the power button on top or the home button or any combination of the two buttons for any given duration for about an hour. Somehow I was then able to get it to reset and back to normal but I'm really not sure how I did so...

I've had my phone for 2 weeks . . .... now it's vibrating nonstop. It actually vibrated right of the couch . . ..... I think this is a little more significant than the antenna, which I haven't had issues with. Now I have to wait for the Apple Store to actually open this morning. sigh.

reboot the phone power button and home button until you see the screen go black and power it on again or let the charge run out

I had this happen last night. Reset didn't work so I had to let the thing vibrate for several hours until the battery died and now its back to normal. I'd rather have the "bags of mostly water" problem.

Mine is doing the same thing. So far:

1) 1st iPhone camera appeture (sp?) wouldn't open, so they repalced it immediately.
2) 2nd iPhone wouldn't sync contacts correctly, now it's like the phone merged my contacts.
3) Face to face feature doesn't work
4) Now, it won't stop vibrating ... so I am headed to the Apple Store soon.

This is frustrting. I'm tempted to trade it for the 3G and call it a day. IPhone 4: I'm not happy.

Mine's doing it right now. I was in an App when it happened.

This is a feature of iPhone 4 self heating vibrator, usually a very expensive option, no problem here move along, if you don't like it apple will give you a anti-vibration bumper. Thank you have a good day!

Okay, let it run out of juice, which took a couple of hours, and then plugged it in to recharge, and it's started up just fine. Maybe it's epilepsy?

Exactly the same happened to me today - was in the office and the phone started vibrating, black screen - couldn't do anything... Tried reseting it, took the sim out, still vibrating. Called the apple helpline after an hour of vibrating and the representative seemed genuinely amused.... Anyways, after the battery run out the phone started working again... But still getting a replacement on Friday. Must be a common occurrence as there seem to be a lot of people reporting this!
