Ad Free Words w Friends app install

Salvete Omnes,

I just found an old version of Words w Friends (from 2013 or so) in a backup of my iTunes library that I had stored on an external HD, and I believe this is an ad-free version. I cannot bear playing the current version of the game due to the flood of ads that Zynga throws at me, and I was wondering if there was a way to install the .ipa file on my phone. I no longer see an option for syncing apps with my iPhone from iTunes. Any suggestions?
