i bought audio cable.
a 3.5mm to 2-male rca adapter cable (red & white type)
to connect iphone to home receiver
to listen to music on home stereo.
and it plays for about one minute and
then pop up screen appears " this accessory is not supported by this iphone"
is it the cable or the phone? what can i do?

First thing I would do is get a flashlight and toothpick and clean the headphone jack on your iPhone. If that doesn't work get a cable that is marked as "Made for iPhone"

yes thats what i heard but after one minute of playing music from phone
a pop up window opens and states "this accessory is not supported by this iphone" and music stops playing
any suggestions?
