Can Smart Keyboard be connected to iMac?
I often use the ipad in addition to the imac and would like to use one keyboard between them. Can the ipad 3rd generation with smart keyboard also be connected to iMac?

Currently, only an iPad Pro is compatible with a Smart Keyboard. You can see that information outlined within the following guide: Use your Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard with iPad Pro. Additionally, the Compatibility section of the Smart Keyboard from the Apple Online Store shows only the iPad Pro as being compatible: Smart Keyboard for 10.5-inch iPad Pro
