calendar alerts

I can no longer get email alerts for my calendar events. It keeps telling me I have to set it up in contacts and nothing happens.

Does your card in the Contacts app have a little 'person' symbol next to your name? If not, select the card and choose 'Make This My Card' from the Card menu.

I just made another card (same as the other one) and it worked this time.
