Receiver speaker not working

Good day, im a fairly new i phone user and i recently baught an iphone X and in quite a few days im unable to hear the person at the other end speak while im on a call, i usually use a earphone to suppliment the issue but its quite a nuisance when i have to put it in speaker mode in front of people to get vital information. Is there any solution that i need to check out?
