Missing Trash Folder in Apple Mail

I'm setting up email on a new iMac (running High Sierra) and there's no trash folder in Mail. How do I get it to show up? I already have Mailbox Behaviors set to move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox. I tried creating a Trash mailbox, but when I delete mail it doesn't end up there.

Mail Program in MacOS Big Sur I just downloaded Mac OS Big Sur on my laptop. My question is about the Mail program on Big Sur. On the old operating system, when I deleted an email, it went into the Trash folder. Now when I delete an email, it is gone and nowhere to be found. Is there a way to change this on Big Sur so that I can click the Trash icon and the email will be sent to the Trash file?

Delete something and it will appear.

You can make adjustments Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Mailbox Behaviors>Trash

Thanks! Yes, it was a matter of the default Behaviors.
