Photos in Mac freezes
Photos in my Mac constantly freezes whenever I try to import pics or try to find duplicates with supporting apps. Any way to address it?
Is Photos the best app to manage pictures in Mac?

As a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it? (This tells us if the problem is limited to your current library or is more wide spread)
If the problem persists in the test library log into another user account on your MBP and repeat the test from there. (This tells us if the problem is system wide or limited to your user account)
Lastly boot into Safe Mode, Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac, and try from there. The boot process will be longer as the system runs some diagnostic and repair procedures and empties system cache files.
