IPOD classic does not show on my list of device and not working - charging but not synchronising

i have problem with my IPOD classic 160 GB - Batterie fine as it charges but not recognised and no more on my device list

Try If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support. Try a known good cable. Check for fluff in the docking port.
