My Mac "Storage" is completely wrong

I know that people are saying that the mac storage adds other files into the calculations, but I am adding all the displayed file sizes and the mac seems to have a different overall size. What am I doing wrong, because I can't open several apps saying that I don't have enough space when it seems like the mac can't calculate my remaining space properly.

Yeah, I partitioned my 128 GB drive to boot camp into a partition with about 50 GB, however I didn't install any other things to run virtual machines other than the default mac bootcamp.

As for the various apps installed over the internet even those seem to be displayed in the application in the list, in fact I don't recall downloading any app other than WhatsApp from the Appstore. So to fix this is the best way to simply delete several of my applications, because my documents don't take up much space and I don't know how to deal with the massive amount of storage being taken up by "System" (roughly 61 GB)?

Thanks in advance!

That list you are looking at would only be useful if you had only ever installed apps from the Mac App Store. You appear to have installed a number of different low-level system modifications to run virtual machines and share files over the internet. There is no way to tell where these apps have stored their files.

You appear to be critically low on disk space. If your machine completely runs out of disk space, it could be a catastrophic error. Do you have a backup? Unfortunately, if you run out of disk space, even a backup may not be helpful.

Your boot drive only appears to be 75 GB in size. Did you repartition it to be smaller? Adding up all of your used space, plus free space, only leaves you 5 GB remaining. Your boot drive is simply too small. It isn’t going to work.
