Paypal scam

hi guys,

im from Qatar and i have downloaded PayPal app. I have received around 500$ in my PayPal wallet. Now im trying to get the money to either my verified card or the bank account. Unfortunately PayPal is asking me to provide a US bank account? How am I related to the US in anyway? I have downloaded this app in the Qatari store and I’ve never been to the US in my life. I tried contacting them and i keep getting generic bot responses. As of now i have around 500$ in my wallet in the app with no way of getting the money out. How is this even legal?
