I have iPhone 6 and my boyfriend does too and he has Live Photo’s and I don’t. He didn’t jailbreak his phone he just had it up there. And my friend has a 5C and he didn’t jailbreak either but he has Live Photo’s AND screen recording. How is this possible if it’s supposed to be for iPhone 6s and up?

Somebody is playing prank with you. After all the Live Photos are nothing but small video clippings.
Live Photos currently only works on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus so make sure you have one of those first. Sorry old iPhone users. To take one, open the Camera app and make sure the circular icon in between the HDR and timer options is illuminated. If it's not lit up, tap to turn it
Just check if they have this (refer pic below) on their camera app.
