Iphone 8 freezing up
I have a iphone 8 plus and keep freezing up so often

I don’t know how often, every so often is in your case, but some basic things that you could try.
I would start with a forced restart. On an iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
If that fails to solve the freezing problem you could try backing up, erase the devices in the settings and then restore the backup.
If that doesn’t help, backup again and restore to factory settings using iTunes which will download a fresh copy of the iOS software onto the phone as opposed to simply erasing the phone in the settings. After you reset to factory settings, restore the backup.
If that fails, restore as new and rebuild the phone by adding content slowly and methodically. As long as things goes well, keep adding content.
If that fails, its time for a trip to an Apple store for hardware evaluation.
