Connect 3d gen ipad to HDMI on TV

The third gen iPad has the 30-pin dock connector. In the article you're linking to, the 30-pin digital AV adapter doesn't include a link to the item, which means Apple doesn't carry it anymore. The digital AV adapter had the HDMI connection which would be needed for the TV.

Apple no longer sells the digital AV adapter you would need for a direct wired connection. Devices from third parties may be available, but I can't make any recommendations as I haven't purchased any.

What type of content are you trying to play on the TV? Perhaps an Apple TV or a different device, like a Roku player, may be a better choice.

That iPad doesn't have a USB connection - it has the 30-pin dock connector.

Is the video on your iPad? If so, an Apple TV is likely your best option. If it's a video from an app, like Hulu, YouTube or Netflix, you could just get a Roku device for your TV.

Yes in the US, but they still sell the VGA in the US, most tvs have a VGA port.
