Mac Mail cannot find emails within certain dates

So, I've always used Mac Mails Search feature to great effect when working to find an email from a particular person, from someone with 'xyz' in their email or on a specific subject.

Issue is now when I search, no matter what I search for it doesn't display any results that were sent or received between 26th January and 26th February (inclusive) 2019.

It's driving me mad. Any pointers or advice appreciated.

Should I try reinstalling mail or deleting and re-adding the account? It's only on my work account and not on my personal or others

I would try re-indexing spot light

Thanks leroydouglas,

This works but when I have a few hundred emails in there and try to use the search feature to find an email from x@y.com even though I know I received the email sometime in early Feb it doesn't display in the search results.

If i search for it manually by scrolling through my emails then it is of course right there where it should be.

For example if I search my inbox for emails from people within my organisation using the search term @mycompanyname.com then it displays hundreds of emails but absolutely none in between the dates of 26th Jan and 26th Feb even though there are hundreds of them.

For some reason mail is not able to index this date period.
