iPads from resellers

I am considering purchasing an iPad on Amazon - they are listed as an authorized Apple reseller - does anyone know if Apple still offers the same level of support with purchases from a reseller (ie. Applecare and genius bar support)?

Make sure these iPads are sold, directly, by Amazon and NOT simply fulfilled by Amazon for some other third party seller.

If these are refurbed units, actually sold by Amazon, these are NOT refurbed by Apple, but by some electronics refurb company that Amazon uses.

Apple may not honor these units for any AppleCare or extended AppleCare plans.

If you purchase one of these from Amazon, purchase Amazon’s own warranty plan with the iPad.

I would not buy from Amazon (by the way, THEY are a reseller; however, a lot of the stuff offered is from other sellers hawking their products on Amazon) because you do not know what you are going to get. I'd only buy anything Apple if they claim in writing that it is still factory sealed and that they will pay for return postage if it is not what they claim it is.
