Keyboard Shortcut for dividing Screen

I accidentally pushed some buttons on my Mac Pro and screen was divided in two with Mail and currently opened Safari. But I can't find what is that shortcut I discovered. Help Please ?

Keystroke for Split Screen? On a MacBook Pro, are there keystrokes for entering a split screen view? I know how to use the mouse to move windows to a split screen view in a Space and split screen in a Desktop (i.e. "Tile Window..." vs. "Move window..."). Windows operating systems have keystrokes to move windows into split screen or quarter screen options (windows key + arrows), but are there keystrokes for this in MacOS? Haven't found any yet outside of downloading third-party apps. It seems the only way to accomplish this is to drag a window to one side of a screen or move 2 windows into a fullscreen Space.

movement of my Mac screen when using whenever I am using my computer I feel like there is somebody behind it manipulating my screen. No matter which app I have open and as I am working on a project (like in Quicken or word or excel spreadsheet) my screen starts to move to the side and I can not type anything until it stops and "recenters." There have been times where I was in quicken and it totally pushed my screen to the right. Its almost as if something is always trying to recenter the screen. Is there a genie in there I don't know about? This is a Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.3
