Mac Pro Late 2013 El Capitan does not open big .mov files

hi guys, I have problems opening .mov files larger than a gigabyte recorded with 20O mbps of bitrate on my Mac Pro Late 2013 El Capitan.

The problems manifest themselves with both Quick Time X and VLC.

The files are not corrupt because I am able to calmly open them in the MacBookPro high Sierra.

Can anyone give me advice?

Thank you

Wait, You bought a hot new fancy camera, recorded Video WAY outside standard frame rates, and it is not supported in OLDER El Capitan, but is supported in Sierra?

It sounds like the support was added in more modern software.

If you want to read it, run more modern software. El Capiatn is no longer receiving Security Updates, either.

Hi Illas, thank you for your interest

This is a FINDER report of a small file that works good

About you questions:

  1. quick time does not open
  2. VLC opens the file but plays jerky, neither DaVinci Resolve nor FCPX read video track
  3. they are H264 from my mirrorless camera.

As I said, the same files on my MacBookPro High Sierra are read without any problems.

I really need to solve the problem because I have a job to finish and I need my main workstation.

Thanks for your help.
