I am trying to change the setting from Require passcode immediately to something like 'after 30 mins'. My phone and iPad mini 4 do not allow any change to the setting 'immediately'.
What am I doing wrong??

Do you have a work email set up on these devices? If so, your company may be forcing that option.
If you don't have a work email, go to Settings>General>Profiles. Do you see anything listed there?

If you have Touch ID enabled, the only option is 'immediately'.
If you have not enabled touch ID, but still don't seen any option other than immediately, it may be restricted by security policies enforced on your devices by setting up a corporate email account on the device.
