macOS Mojave error

Every time I try to download the update for macOS Mojave I get an error has occured validating the installer data. The download is either damaged or incomplete. Redownlload the installer and try again. How do I do this?

Check your Applications Folder for "Install macOS Mojave.app". If it is there, drag it to the Trash. Enter your administrative password when prompted to trash it. Download a fresh copy of the macOS Mojave installer. This issue has happened to more than a few people. You need to trash the damaged copy before you can download a fresh copy.
