I see that this link is for emoji suggestions http://unicode.org/emoji/selection.html is intense, the things you have to go through for a submission. I want to see USA armed forces emoji. If i have to pick through certain politically correct emojis then the least APPLE can do is include everyone. Very upset
Apple does not design emojis. You need to address your concern with the people who do - you have the link.
You can skip the design part but if you are going to request this then do so as a generic soldier, not US. You will have a better chance of getting it approved.
Apple designs emoji ONLY* for the glyphs that are approved by UniCode Consortium, so the only involvement that Apple would have is how a US soldier emoji would LOOK
*there are a few 'private use' spots that can be used for anything a emoji-set foundry wants = Apple uses two = the Apple logo & the Beats logo (these do NOT display on any other platforms than MacOS & iOS)

It appears I do have the link to submit design suggestions per what babowa said, so I will have to try this. Thank you for the additional information.
