I am unable to use the search button for any of my apps on my iPhone XS Max

i have over 400 apps so the search bar is very needed to search the app I want . It stopped working & I have reset my iPhone XS Max like 4 times. I also turned off the search icons in the settings then turned them back on but still nothing . Please help!
