What does average pace mean on a walk?

Like all averages, its calculated on a range of numbers. Add the numbers and divide by the number of samples.

It means on average you it took you, or would take you 20 minutes to walk a mile.

It takes how fast you were walking at different points during the walk, and averages them together.

So if at one point in your walk, you were walking fast enough or slow enough to be able to complete a mile in 18 minutes, and at another point in the walk you walked slower and would take you 22 minutes to complete a mile, the average of that would be 20 minutes to complete a mile.

It means on average you take 20 mins and 3 secs to walk one mile. It Divides the number of miles you walked by the time taken to complete the miles and gives you an average
