been trying to fix my iMessage on my macbook air for about a year now. Have not wanted to take it in so i gave up on fixing it. I have tried everything to make it possible for mine to work but it still does not

I would sign out of iMessage FIRST. If that does not work then sign out of iCloud and start the sign in process again.
I keep getting "error occurred during activation" for iMessage on my Macbook Air even after trying every possible step to fix it.
