Apple Watch Series 4 GPS and CELLULAR!

With apple watch series 4 GPS and Cellular, why cant I stream spotify without my phone. I pay for cellular but apple blocks me from streaming music on my watch. I want to go on a run without taking my phone and stream my music from my watch. Whats the point of the watch streaming music when your phone is next to you, kind of pointless. Spotify should work without my phone if I have cellular and apple is blocking that from happening. Help please.

Apple isn't blocking you from doing anything. The developers at spotify will have to code that functionality into their app for the watch.

Apple so far is not allowing 3rd party music apps to stream to the Apple Watch over cellular. Go here Feedback - Apple Watch - Apple to tell Apple you would like this capability.
