Optimising columns in Numbers

How do I optimise a column in Number so when I input a value it is automatically shown as a currency with £ sign and to two digital places. This was easy to do in Excel and I don't understand why it fails to work in Numbers.

Hi Jaydubaya,

Select the cells.

Format Panel > Cell > Data Format > Currency.

My Region is Australia, so the default currency is Australian Dollar.

What is not working for you?

Regards,

Ian.
