Is an Apple Pencil covered under any warranty?

My pencil suddenly stopped working & I was wondering if the 1 yr warranty would cover a replacement.

iPad, iOS 12

All apple products have a one year default limited warranty. So take it in to Apple so they can evaluate it. If it failed due to faulty hardware, it should be covered.
