Well someone needed to say it. And let's also note that the last location will only appear for 24 hours, then it's gone. I think Find my (insert whichever product you're looking for here) is a great concept, which in reality rarely helps a user find their lost or stolen device. It does work in some situations. Not long ago a young lady here in Tampa was visiting Bush Gardens and someone took her iPhone. She was able to show the police exactly where it was via Find My iPhone and they arrested the thief and she got her phone back. But that's pretty infrequent as we all know.

A few years ago, I set my iPhone down to pick something up at the grocery store, then walked away forgetting my phone. I realized within 2 minutes I didn't have my phone, but it was gone. It never showed up again, certainly not in Find my iPhone. I did everything I was supposed to do, so other than having to purchase a new phone the next day, I was back in business as if the phone was never stolen.

There is another way to find out where you have been, Mind you, it's not a perfect solution, but it might help. In your iPhone go to Settings/Privacy/Location Services.....scroll all the way down to System Services...tap on it...then scroll down to Significant Locations (Requires Passcode or Face ID) and look under "History"....If you tap on a location it shows where you have been.
