When I try to add a face to a photo the circle shows up, in the wrong place and then can't be moved or enlarged or shrunk. How do I get it to work correctly again?

Sometimes Photos will become unresponsive when adding faces. If you cannot move the Faces circle or adjust the size, restart Photos. Occasionally I also had to restart the Mac. Then was back to normal.

I appreciate your truthful answer but it certainly is not what I wanted to hear. :( I got another answer that worked for me, but you're telling me I have to remember that because I may need it again. Thank you for a heads-up at least!

This bug has been around since the very first version of Photos. I hope it will one day be fixed.
Absolutely the right answer! Thank you. I had to restart my Mac because closing Photos and restarting it didn't do it, but a complete restart did.
How do I move Faces circles around? It no longer works like it used to.
