Apple Watch 4 drains battery significantly on iPhone 6s
Last week, I purchased an Apple Watch series 4 (with cellular) and connected it to my iPhone 6s via the Apple Watch app and bluetooth (normal setup). My iPhone is running the latest iOS (12.1.4) and my watch is also running the latest WatchOS (5.1.3).
I'd consider myself a light iPhone and Watch user (only use it for basic things like calls, messages, weather, and only a few extra apps). Before I had my Apple Watch, my iPhone's battery would last almost 2 days without needing a charge. Now that I have my Apple Watch, my iPhone barely lasts a day and I sometimes have to charge it during the day... so my iPhone battery went from lasting almost 2 days to lasting about a half-day. At first I thought this was a fluke, but after a week I can tell that my iPhone has definitely taken a huge hit on its battery life since I got my Apple Watch. I haven't made any other changes since getting the watch - I haven't changed any settings or installed any other apps or anything else that could be causing this. The only change has been the watch.
For the watch, it appears to have normal/expected battery life, easily lasting a full day and only needing to charge it overnight.
So I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if there are any suggestions or fixes available to address the Apple Watch's impact on iPhone's battery life?
Thanks for any help!
